This picture book, via thirty views and two maps, illustrate how artists responded to the visual appeal of the landscape and the works of man within it, and what their pictures tell us of the old county of Glamorgan. It includes works from Henry Gastineau, Thomas Horner, William Daniell, and Samuel Prout, alongside engravings from the newspapers of the time, showing pastoral, urban, and industrial views from across the county.

The book draws on the collections of the Glamorgan Archive Service, the National Library of Wales, the National Museum of Wales. the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, and the Royal Institution of South Wales.
