Description
The entrance to the West Glamorgan Archives is marked by a two meter high stained glass window celebrating the documentary and pictorial heritage of West Glamorgan, created by Stacey Poultney in 2006, a then second-year student at the Welsh School of Architectural Glass at Swansea Metropolitan University. This mug design showcases the window you see as you enter the archives.
Dominating the entrance, the two-meter high stained glass window, chosen from designs submitted in 2006 by second year students at the Welsh School of Architectural Glass, Swansea on the theme of the documentary and pictorial heritage of West Glamorgan. This piece of public art, the idea for which was suggested by the window commissioned by Westminster Archives for their refurbishment in 1995, showcases the work of the School and celebrates the strong tradition in Swansea of stained glass design.
