Local author Derek Draisey’s account of the Rebecca Riots focuses on events that took place in and around Swansea during the riots, using mainly contemporary newspaper accounts from The Cambrian, giving fantastic insight into the events of the riots and how they were perceived by the press and local people. The reports include eye-witness accounts and testimonies that help the reader to greatly imagine what was happening during the attacks and incidents.
