Geoffrey R Orrin’s book, The Gower Churches, gives a interesting guide to the prominent churches of Gower, many of which have been have been in place in one form or another for many centuries.  Each church is shown through photographs, and given a well described history, not only of the building and incumbents, but also some of the fascinating sculptures and decorations to be found in these churches.

Geoffrey Orrin was born and bred in Mumbles, coming from a well known Mumbles family who settled there in 1853 from Essex. He has taken an active part in church life in Oystermouth and Bishopston, successively as choirboy, server, and sidesman.

Swansea, The Rural Deanery of West Gower, 1979.  Paperback, 88 pages, black and white.  Front cover has a small crease on the left hand side, and a previous sticker on the back cover (see photos).  Shows some marks and signs of wear and age.  Inside pages are in good condition, and overall condition is fair.
